Activities for Aged Care Residents

Lewington House, Omeo’s Aged Care facility, is pleased to be able to offer an extensive diversional therapy program as part of our overall care provided to our residents. Recently two of our residents enjoyed an outing to the local golf club. Mr Leo Carroll told us that he had a lovely day. When asked if the winter outing had been a bit chilly he replied with “I got too caught up in the golf to worry about what the weather was doing.” Competing against Mr Carroll on the greens was 101 year old resident, Mr Gordon Bock. The golfing pair were assisted by their caddies (our diversional therapists) Robyn Walker and Penny Craig who also enjoyed the fresh air and change of scenery for the day. It may not have been the PGA pro am but competition was still in the air “If you ask Bocky he might tell you otherwise but I think I had it over him” stated Mr Carroll.
